This was photographed at the very beginning of my physical transition in October of 2018.
Shaving all of my hair off was the first part of my physical start to transitioning and
was an immensely powerful moment for me.
The photograph might not scream pride to most
but it definitely was a moment where I felt most proud of myself
in beginning one of the biggest journeys of my life.
It’s a symbol of the past and new beginnings,
being proud of the person that I’ve always been,
even if I wasn’t proud back in that moment.
